You won’t find a bunch of shacks around the beaches and you will also miss the happening nigh life in this island, but the beauty of this place will always remain with you. Radhanagar beach is perfect for swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving. This place still pulls me back and by far a cherished memory.
Kala Pathar Beach:
This is again a heavenly beach located in Havelock islands, which is best for photography. This beach has silvery sand and turquoise blue water, which makes it a perfect location to spend a lazy day reading your favorite book with some mouthwatering dishes and cold sea breeze and hence is one of the best beaches in Andaman.
Another most exciting place to visit in Havelock island is Elephant beach. To reach this beach one needs to take a short ferry ride, which is around 20-25 mins from Havelock jetty. Elephant beach is rich in corals and underwater life, which makes it a very common place for water activities. Activities like snorkeling, scuba diving and sea walk are available here in reasonable prices.
This beach derives its name for being located very near to Laxmanpur village in Neil Island and is one of the best beaches in Andaman. You should explore this beach in your visit to Neil island, without a fail. This is so popular in visitors for its shallow water and corals. You can reach this beach via ferry from Port Blair to Neil island, where you can visit a number of beaches along with this, but I put this as the top in Neil Island. You should also visit this beach for the natural Rock formation, which is a prime attraction of this place.
This beautiful beach is located on the tip of Neil Island. The best way to reach this beach is to take a long walk from Laxmanpur beach or Bharatpur beach along the sea shore, on a blissful evening. You should not forget to capture the beauty of this place in your camera to cherish when you are back from this heaven. The mesmerizing beauty of this beach makes it one of the best beaches in Andaman.
This beach is again located in Neil Island and is most known for its coral reefs. While you stay in Neil Island you should not miss going to this beach before the sunset or in the morning. The evening and morning view of this beach is so different that it becomes hard to recognize as in the morning when there is low tide you will see the splendid view of the corals and in the evening, they will all be hidden with turquoise water.
This beach takes us back to Havelock island. Like every other beach in Havelock this beach is also perfect for swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving. Sandbar between Ross and Smith Islands:
There is no wonder in seeing this place among the best beaches in Andaman. This sand bridge connects Ross and Smith islands, which are otherwise separated with water during high tides. Smith Island is completely covered with forests while a visit to Ross island is a must in your itinerary to Andamans. To get the best view of this place reaching in morning is the best time, during low tides. You can reach to Ross Islands with a ferry from Neil or Port Blair and this is a small visit as this is a small island with ruins from British and Japanese wars.
This is one of the most beautiful places to visit for a sea life lover. This beach is a calm beach and is famous for sea turtles. If you would love to see a sea turtle making its way to the vast ocean, this is a must visit place for you. This is located in northern parts of Andaman in Diglipur. This beach is slightly different from other beaches in Andaman and hence makes a place in best beaches in Andaman.
This beach is a must visit if you are a bird lover and a sunset lover. The name comes from the fact that you can find yourself surrounded by almost 50 different types of endemic birds. This is again a perfect place to clean the lenses of your camera to capture the beautiful sunset with these rare birds all around.
How to reach: In order to reach any of these beautiful beaches, one needs to catch ferries from Port Blair. There are frequent ferries for Havelock, Neil Island and Ross Island.
